How to Change the Language of the Host Onboarding UI?
This article provides a step-by-step guide for hosting companies to modify the language of the ZipWP Host Onboarding plugin, tailoring it to meet the needs of your customers.
By default, the onboarding UI is set to English.
However, if you need to translate the UI into another language, the process is straightforward. This guide will show you how to do that.
Using Supported Languages
ZipWP supports a variety of languages for the onboarding UI. To ensure the onboarding UI uses your preferred language, simply set the default language of your WordPress installation to the desired language.
This will align the onboarding language of the ZipWP plugin with the WordPress language.
Adding New Languages
If the language you require is not currently supported by ZipWP, you can contact us, and we will assist you in adding it.
The process of adding a new language typically takes 3-5 working days from the time of your request.
Once the new language is available, we will notify you so you can test it. If the translation needs further refinement, we are happy to collaborate with you to improve it.
How You Can Contribute:
The ZipWP plugin includes all translatable strings within its files. To add a new language:
- Obtain the latest version: Download the most recent Host Onboarding plugin from the ZipWP dashboard.
- Locate language files: Navigate to the “languages” folder within the plugin directory and find the POT file for your language.
- Translate strings: Translate the strings in the POT file according to your requirements and save the translations in the corresponding file.
- Submit for update: Once your translation is complete, submit the updated POT file to us for inclusion in future plugin updates.
By following these steps, you can easily incorporate a new language into the ZipWP Host Onboarding plugin, enhancing the overall experience for your customers.
