Customizing Your Pages with Vibe Editing

Vibe Editing lets you redesign and tweak any page just by describing what you want, right inside the WordPress editor. Turn on Editor Mode, tell the assistant what to change, and watch it happen live on the page in front of you.

What Can I Do with It?

Working on the page you have open, you can ask Zip AI to:

• Rewrite or tweak text — reword a heading, tighten a paragraph, fix the tone.
• Change colors — recolor a single button or section, or open the palette picker to change your whole site’s color scheme.
• Adjust spacing, borders, rounding, shadows, and type on any block.
• Change the layout — turn a row into columns, change how many items sit per row, realign things.
• Add whole new sections — pricing, FAQ, testimonials, team, gallery, contact, call-to-action, features, about, stats, and hero sections, chosen from a set of ready-made options.
• Redesign an existing section — pick from a couple of fresh takes on a section you already have.
• Add or duplicate items — “add one more pricing card” clones the last one.
• Add or swap images — reuse an image already on your site, drop in a stock photo, or generate a new one with AI.
• Add custom behavior with a bit of page JavaScript for interactive touches.

How It Works

Vibe Editing only runs when you’re inside the WordPress block editor (the standard page editor) with a page open, and the Editor Mode switch turned on. You’ll find the switch at the bottom-left of the chat, it’s on by default.

When you ask for a change, the assistant applies it live on the page you’re looking at so you can see it right away. Nothing is permanent yet: your changes are only kept when you click Save / Update, and everything is undoable until then. If you don’t like a change, ask again or just don’t save.

Two Kinds of Changes

Most edits are try-before-you-save. They show up on the page instantly and only stick when you save. But a few changes are site-wide and immediate, changing your color palette, or restyling your header/footer, affects every page at once and can’t be undone by leaving without saving. For those, the assistant checks with you first before applying.

Some requests bring up a picker instead of changing the page directly, adding a section, redesigning a section, and changing your site colors all show you options to choose from.

How to Use It

1. Open the page you want to edit in the WordPress block editor.
2. Open the Zip AI chat and make sure Editor Mode (bottom-left) is on.
3. Describe your change in plain language.
4. Watch it appear on the page. Not quite right? Ask again to refine it.
5. When you’re happy, click Save / Update to keep it.

• Make the hero heading shorter and punchier
• Change my site colors to something warmer

Limits & Things to Know

• It only touches the page you have open. To work on a different page, or on site-wide settings, plugins, or content, turn Editor Mode off and ask normally.
• Headers and footers are special. They belong to your theme, not the page, so the assistant can’t add content to them here, it can only restyle them site-wide. For structural header/footer changes it will point you to the Site Editor.
• It works best with block-based content. Some third-party blocks that manage their own styling may behave differently.
• Very large sections may be too big to rewrite in one go, the assistant will suggest editing them block by block.
• Some effects can’t be faked. If you ask for something that isn’t actually available (an animation that doesn’t exist, an unknown icon), it will tell you honestly rather than pretend.
• Quick inline edits: select text in a block and use the toolbar options, rewrite, improve, shorten, expand, make it punchier, simplify, more professional, friendlier, fix grammar, or humanize it.
