How To Enable & Access SFTP Credentials For A Website?

In this article, we’ll explain how to enable and access SFTP credentials for a website created using ZipWP.

But first, let’s understand what SFTP is.

SFTP ensures the secure transfer of sensitive files on WordPress sites, protecting login credentials, themes, plugins, and content from unauthorized access. Its encryption maintains file integrity during transfers, reducing tampering risks and enhancing overall site security.

Note: SFTP is only available with our Pro and Business plan. Also, SFTP settings are only visible to a team owner.

Getting SFTP Credentials For A ZipWP Site

To enable SFTP and obtain credentials for a site, simply follow the steps below.

  • Go to your ZipWP dashboard.
  • Click on the three-dot menu for the site for which you need SFTP credentials.
  • Click on the SFTP option.
  • Toggle on the Enable SFTP option.

Once done, you will be able to view your SFTP credentials for your website. Now you can use them for file transferring using any SFTP client like FileZilla!
